Grammy nominated pianist Judy Carmichael is one of the world's leading interpreters of stride piano and swing. Count Basie nicknamed her "Stride", and the New York Times has called her "astounding, flawless and captivating". A native of California, Judy Carmichael moved to New York in the early 80's and has maintained a busy concert schedule throughout the world ever since. She has performed for many, having entertained the likes of Rod Stewart and former President Bill Clinton. Carmichael also moonlights as a writer and PBS broadcaster, where her passion for jazz music is further showcased.
