Steeped in the tradition of John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Ornette Coleman and Archie Shepp and inspired by Australian jazz greats, the Zac Hurren Trio is one of the most exciting groups to emerge from the Australian scene. Led by the fiery and exuberant composer/saxophonist Zac Hurren and joined by bassist Sam Anning and drummer Sam Bates, this explosive and exploratory trio has forged a truly unique sound that is spontaneous, lucid and wonderfully alive.
