The Melbourne International Jazz Festival invites families, music lovers, emerging artists, first time concert goers and seasoned punters to join the celebrations of the Festival's Opening Night Concert in Federation Square. Staged in the heart of Melbourne's arts precinct, this free concert features a stellar line-up of some of the world's greatest jazz musicians.

The evening will kick-off by bringing together the 1930s old-world charms of swing orchestra The Mell-O-Tones, with Swing Patrol, a troupe of the Australia's most celebrated swing dancers giving performances and demonstrations.
