Cecil Taylor’s Poetry Recitation at the Iwaki Auditorium is an exclusive Australian appearance which will showcase a rare poetry recitation combining the original words and music of this creative genius. The 2009 Melbourne International Jazz Festival welcomes Cecil Taylor to Australia after a 25 year absence from our shores.

This concert will also include a new work commissioned as part of the MSO's Cybec 21st Century Australian Composers Program.
