As the Melbourne weather turns chilly on the first night of May, come inside and be warmed by an evening celebrating the greatest jazz songs of all time with some of Australia's most popular vocalists, performing with the acclaimed Joe Chindamo Trio. Inspired by the popular ABC release Baby It's Cold Outside, the opening night of the 2010 Melbourne International Jazz Festival will celebrate the great jazz torch songs penned by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Rodgers and Hart and made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra. For one night only, these timeless classics will be reinterpreted by an all-star cast of singers including Lior, Whitley, Clare Bowditch, Megan Washington and many more.
