A local bar hop with a difference — Footscray Sunday Sessions brings Melbourne’s dynamic jazz scene to some of Footscray’s favourite venues, for an afternoon of free music and cool beverages. With all four venues just a short walk apart, Footscray Sunday Sessions is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an eclectic mix of local Melbourne musical talent and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the West.

Led by trombonist Griffin Youngs, The Prohibition Pretzels, give beloved traditional jazz standards new life. Hot tunes are baked fresh every day, with trad jazz flavours and a side of jazz manouche.

 

Freedom Fly Trio

3:00pm – 5:00pm

Bold and eclectic harpist, singer, poet and composer, Freedom Fly performs intimate ballads, spiritual grooves and transcendental trio improvisations in an experience for heart and mind.

 

OjiAji

Littlefoot Bar & Kitchen

4:00 – 6:00pm

Having carved out space within the scene as a deft jazz/soul guitarist and songwriter in the raw RnB three-piece Izy, OjiAji is making his mark as a solo artist. With warm, lo-fi and jazzy melodies and lyrics that speak to shared humanity in everyday interactions, OjiAji tells stories of finding one’s place in a complex world.

Sensual and unique, Selenic invites you into a world of heavenly harmonies and moody electronics. Led by dynamic vocalists and songwriters, Ava McDermott and Margot Petrie, Selenic uniquely alchemises their sonic worlds, blending RnB, pop, alternative rock and improvisation.
