Ticketing Information

If we haven’t answered your ticketing question below, please feel free to give us a call on (03) 9001 1388 or email ticketing@melbournejazz.com.

When is the Melbourne International Jazz Festival?

The 2021 Melbourne International Jazz Festival will now take place from 2 – 5 December 2021.

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets will go on-sale through this website for the rescheduled program at 9am on 22 October 2021.

Tickets for most events can be purchased online through the Melbourne International Jazz Festival website or by calling (03) 9001 1388.

Depending on the event, tickets may be purchased through the venue where the event is occurring or an authorised seller and are sometimes available at the venue box office on the night (subject to availability).

I purchased tickets for an event during the original festival dates in October, what’s happened to my tickets?

You should have recieved an email from our ticketing team or your place of purchase.

If you held a ticket to a cancelled event you will have recieved a refund.

If you held a ticket to a rescheduled event, your tickets have been automatically moved to the rescheduled date. If you would like to request a refund or exchange please contact our ticketing team on ticketing@melbournejazz.com.

What’s happening with Big Sunday?

With the current restrictions on international travel, we have unfortunately had to reschedule our Big Sunday event. Big Sunday will now take place as part of the 2022 Melbourne International Jazz Festival with the same line-up on October 15, which is a Saturday.

If you hold a Big Sunday ticket, it has been automatically shifted to this date. If you would like a refund instead, you should have recieved an email from Ticketek with instructions.

The event I’m looking at says “Join Waitlist”, what does this mean?

Due to COVID restrictions, we have gone on-sale with limited capacities in many venues. If an event is showing as “Join Waitlist” this means that we have sold out of our current allocation or tickets. Please add your details to our waitlist to be notified if more tickets become available.

How do I get my tickets?

Tickets purchased through the Melbourne International Jazz Festival website will be emailed to you.

If you purchased your tickets through the venue or an authorised seller please contact the point of purchase directly.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend the Melbourne International Jazz Festival?

It is our expectation that audiences at all MIJF events during our festival in 2021 will be required to show proof of vaccination in order to attend, as outlined in the Victorian Government roadmap. We are currently working with the Victorian Government and our partner venues on how this requirement will be implemented and will provide updates as they become available. We anticipate that vaccination exemptions will be limited to those with a valid reason as determined by the public health team.
