RAKI + INFINITY

Earshift Music label showcase

Chapel Off Chapel

A double bill of visionary performances from the Earshift Music label, featuring: Raki – an ancient–contemporary collaboration – and Infinity, a genre-blurring exploration of time, motion, and improvisation.

Raki brings together Yolŋu songman Daniel Wilfred, pianist Paul Grabowsky, and trumpeter/electronic artist Peter Knight in a powerful fusion of sacred songs (manikay) and contemporary sound. Featuring voice, bilma, piano, trumpet and live electronics, this deeply moving collaboration honours Indigenous songlines through immersive, improvisational dialogue and profound cultural connection.

ARIA-winning saxophonist-composer Jeremy Rose unveils Infinity II — a sonic journey through ambient textures, hypnotic grooves, and deep long-form improvisation. With Novak Manojlovic on keys/synths, Ben Carey on modular synthesizer and Alexander Flood on drums, this bold electro-acoustic project explores motion, impermanence, and collective intuition. A transcendent blend of fractured beats, lush synths and atmospheric saxophone from a fearless creative voice.

Experience two extraordinary ensembles reshaping the sound of contemporary music through deeply personal expression, cultural exchange and bold sonic craft.

This event is part of our Earshift Music label showcases — check out the other showcase on Tue 21 Oct, with James Bowers Quartet + Visions of Nar + Hilary Geddes.
