A world-premiere international collaboration between three singular artists reshaping the boundaries of sound and genre.
Co-commissioned by the Melbourne International Jazz Festival and Jazztopad Festival (Poland), this bold new project unites three visionary artists with collaboration and experimentation at the heart of their practice — Sunny Kim (Korea/Aus), Joanna Duda (Poland) and Helen Svoboda (Aus) — in a profound exploration of personal, political and planetary transformation.
Joanna Duda, a pioneering Polish pianist and electronic artist, has become a standout at major international jazz festivals over the years, known for her radical creativity and unorthodox approach to form and sound.
South Korean-born vocalist, composer and improviser Sunny Kim brings a deeply expressive practice shaped by cultural exchange, sonic experimentation and a wide array of influences — from Bjork to Billie Holiday.
Described as “extraordinary” by Limelight Magazine, Helen Svoboda is a double bassist and composer whose award-winning work explores the instrument’s melodic potential, drawing on years of study, collaboration and performances in Australia and abroad.
Witness the electrifying alchemy of three musicians at the top of their game, as they come together to push the edges of the avant-garde.
