Paul Grabowsky AO
Multi-award-winning composer, pianist and MIJF Artist in Residence Paul Grabowsky AO shares his thoughts on jazz, and his extensive career in the music industry. Since the 70s, Paul Grabowsky has built a commanding international reputation working in Europe and the US, and performing alongside jazz icons Chet Baker, Art Farmer and Johnny Griffin. On home soil, he firmly established himself as one of Australia’s leading jazz musicians and composers with his own trio and sextet, and as musical director for Tonight Live with Steve Vizard. This conversation is hosted by his friend and long-time collaborator, Steve Vizard.

Steve Vizard

Steve Vizard is a Gold Logie and multi-award winning writer, performer, producer, broadcaster and lawyer. In 1989 Steve created, produced, was head writer and starred in the iconic and multi award winning Fast Forward (and subsequently Full Frontal), which for ten years were Australia’s highest-rating and longest-running prime time television comedy shows. He also presented Tonight Live with Steve Vizard, featuring a range of high profile guests including Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Whitney Houston and Phil Collins.

Steve is the former president of the National Gallery of Victoria and the former Chairman of the Victorian Major Events Company. In 1989 Vizard established Artists Services and in 1991 he established the Vizard Foundation which assists the arts, education and people in need.
