MIJF Career Development Panel: Old Media, New Media

Working in music? This panel explores the differences and opportunities in old and new media and how to make the most of them. Featuring a discussion by experts in their field, the panel will cover online communities, media relationships and putting them together to help musicians and those working in music build their professional profile and navigate the media landscape.

Our facilitator, Dean Worthington, is an arts-sector veteran with over 10 years’ experience working with arts organisations large and small. He currently runs marketing and business development consultancy George and Bill which specialises in working with artists and small to medium businesses in arts, culture and entertainment.

Also bringing their expertise to the panel: Lior Albeck-Ripka, co-founder of artist and events agency Hear Them Holler; music journalist, Michael Dwyer; Paige X. Cho, Senior Music Strategist at Bolster, a digital and creative agency specialising in music, events and entertainment; and publicist and marketing professional Sarah Guppy, Director at This Much Talent and Business Development Manager at Gig Life Pro.
