Throughout 2026, Jazz Upstairs has presented a free fortnightly gig at Solace Bar in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, featuring a rotating cast of the city’s most promising young artists. The event has amassed a sizable following in its short life, drawing large crowds excited to experience live improvised music. Jazz Upstairs joins the Melbourne International Jazz Festival program in 2026 to showcase what has quickly cemented itself as one of the city’s go-to live music events.
