Over a jam-packed four-day long weekend, Thursday 2 – Sunday 5 December, the Melbourne International Jazz Festival will breathe life back into the city with a massive program of over 70 live performances and events celebrating the best of Melbourne’s world-renowned jazz scene.
Our program will be available from 12pm Thursday 21 October.
Tickets will be on sale to the general public from 9am, Friday 22 October.
Subscribe to our e-newsletter below to be the first to see new program.
If you’ve already bought tickets for our original dates in October, we ask that you please hold onto them until we announce our December program. We’ll be in contact prior to this announcement to discuss your options, including exchanges and refunds. If for any reason you can’t wait and require an immediate refund, please contact our ticketing team on email@example.com.
If you purchased your tickets through a third party, they will be in contact.
Big Sunday Rescheduled to 2022
With the current restrictions on international travel unlikely to change this year, we will unfortunately have to reschedule our Big Sunday event. We’re obviously disappointed and know that the thousands of people who purchased a ticket to see Fat Freddy’s Drop and a huge line-up of Australian jazz greats live on stage will be feeling the same way.
Big Sunday will now take place as part of the 2022 Melbourne International Jazz Festival on October 15 with the full line-up. Yes, it’s a Saturday. But it’s still big – you just get a sleep in the next day.
Big Sunday Ticketing Information
If you hold a Big Sunday ticket, it will be automatically shifted to this date, so there’s no need to act – you’re already in and we can’t wait to see you there. If you would like a refund instead, the Ticketek team will be in contact with you soon with instructions.
A Big Thank You
The Board and team at MIJF would like to thank our partners, donors, Jazz Club members, collaborators, artists, volunteers and friends for their continued support and understanding as we make this announcement and plan for a rescheduled Festival.
We also thank our wonderful audience members and fans whose continued enthusiasm and love for live music makes it all worthwhile.
Watch this space. We have exciting things to share and can’t wait to welcome you all back soon.
